The 14th International Business Development Forum ‘Futurallia Qatar 2009’ will officially open today. More than 800 companies from 30 countries are expected to attend the country’s biggest international business forum, held under the patronage of Prime Minister HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani. Futurallia – jointly organised by Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) and World Trade Center Qatar in collaboration with the Federation of GCC Chambers – is an annual international business matchmaking forum devoted to companies involved in international trade and investments that are looking to grow their business globally. The changing economic conditions prompt companies to seek new markets and develop new line of business to stay competitive, said QCCI chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani. The event will also provide local and Gulf companies with an opportunity to grow their network of foreign partners.
