The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced an eight-hour overnight partial road closure on Al Shamal Road on Friday, 7 January 2022.

The partial closure on Al Shamal Road towards the north between Al Gharrafa (Immigration) Interchange and Duhail Interchange will be in place along with a closure of Al Shamal Road towards Doha between Umm Lekhba IC & Al Gharrafa IC, from 2 am to 10 am.

During the closure, drivers heading north can turn right at Al Gharrafa Interchange onto Khalifa Street, then go left onto Jasim Bin Hamad Street towards Al Khafji Street, and turn left at Jelaia Intersection towards Duhail IC and Al Shamal Road

Road users heading for Doha can turn right at Duhail Interchange onto Al Gharrafa Street and Khalifa Street, while keeping traffic open to road users heading for Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor and Al Markhiya Street at Umm Lekhba Interchange.

During the closure, drivers heading north can turn right at Al Gharraf IC onto Khalifa Street, then go left onto Jasim Bin Hamad Street towards Al Khafji Street and turn left at Jelaia Intersection towards Duhail IC and Al Shamal Road pic.twitter.com/HCdwisCijP
