The Cultural Village Foundation Katara opens today the 4th edition of Mahaseel Festival, which will continue until December 28th, in the southern area of Katara, from 9 am to 9 pm.
Mahaseel Festival ("Harvest" in Arabic) aims to support the agriculture and livestock sector of Qatar. Visitors can shop local and fresh farm produce at the Mahaseel Souq which will be open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until March 31st.
On this occasion, Katara will open an office in building 47 for the Farmers Forum, which will be the first of its kind in Qatar, as it will brings owners of farms together to exchange experiences, in addition to providing various activities including workshops and related seminars that contribute to the developing of local agricultural production and the outputs of Mahaseel festival, especially after the great success achieved by the festival in its previous editions, and helps to encourage investment in agricultural projects.
The 4th edition of Mahaseel Festival notably marks an increase in the number of participants including shops, farms, agricultural and food companies. In addition to a group of recreational and educational activities on the importance of local food and agricultural product.
As well as various activities for children, which makes Mahaseel Festival an opportunity to shop and spend wonderful moments for all family members.
Katara is keen to launch a crops festival on time every year, based on its efforts to support national products in various fields, especially in the agricultural, livestock and food products, in order to achieve sustainability in the agricultural sector and provide sufficiency Self-support and food security in the State of Qatar.
