The Ministry of Municipality announced in a tweet on June 28 2022, the removal of accumulated sand caused by the strong winds that Qatar experienced during the recent days dust mass.

The General Cleanliness Department (Operations Department) along with the support of traffic patrols carried out efforts to remove sand from the roads.
A total of 42 tons of sand was removed from Al Wakrah area alone.
The removal was carried out to ensure the roads continue to be safe and clean.
