Red Bull Fortress Challenge Returns To Qatar
Who Will Take The Fortress On His Mountain Bike?
Qatar will host the Red Bull Fortress Challenge for the second time, a mountain bike race packed with thrill and competition along with natural and archaeological site seeing.
Red Bull Fortress Challenge returns this year to grant the mountain bike elite in Qatar a chance to compete over the title. The event will be held at an archaeological region including a fortress, which inspired the name.
The event will take place at the Film City on Friday, April 12th on a 35km challenging track including natural obstacles. Red Bull Fortress Challenge is expected to attract around 150 of the best bikers aged 15+ from all over Qatar.
The race will include 2 categories: the men's open and the women's open, and whoever reaches the finish line first wins and will be crowned Red Bull Fortress Challenge Champion.
Red Bull Fortress Challenge was held for the 1st time in Qatar in 2010 where 120 bikers competed on a 45km track trough 3 fortresses. Adam Tuck won the men's open then, while Clare Brockett won the women's open.
