According to the Qatar Calendar house and based on accurate astronomical calculations, the first day of Dhul Hijjah will fall on Sunday 11 July 2021, and the blessed Eid Al Adha will be on Tuesday 20 July 2021. However, the legal decision to enter the month of Dhul-Hijjah remains within the jurisdiction of the Crescent Investigation Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf in Qatar.

It is noteworthy that the visibility of the crescent is influenced by many factors, including climatic factors, geographical factors, and astronomical factors such as the period of stay and the age of the crescent and its height from the western horizon at sunset. Also, the beginning and end of the Hijri months depend on the movement of the moon in its orbit around the Earth, while the beginning and ending of the Gregorian months depend on the movement of the Earth in its orbit around the Sun.
