Vodafone Qatar is celebrating 2010 by granting all customers 2,010 Vodafone minutes, or bonus minutes which can be used for domestic calls within the Vodafone network in addition to value included with their
Flexi plans.
“After such an incredible year in 2009, we want this year to be a truly memorable one for our customers,” said Vodafone CEO Grahame Maher. “This gift of 2,010 minutes is the latest in a series of unbelievable offers which are sure to make a difference for everybody in Qatar.” These Vodafone minutes are automatically available to all Vodafone customers, regardless of whether they use the Freedom or Red payment methods. Even new customers will be able to enjoy 2,010 free Vodafone minutes, provided they join Vodafone by February
28, 2010.

No activation is necessary, all a customer needs to do is keep the account active through the usual reloading of Flexi plan every month. Any unused Vodafone minute will lapse at the end of the year and will not be carried over into 2011. “Ever since Vodafone entered the market with innovative Flexi plans, we’ve made it a point to offer the customer more and more value,” said the CMO of Vodafone Qatar, Michael Portz. “This time we’ve outdone even ourselves!”
A long-standing feature of Vodafone’s Flexi plans since their introduction has been the feature of customers automatically receiving more value than the amount they shell out.
In other words, a Flexi 550 plan purchased for QR550 actually offers QR850 in value that can be used for calling, texting, international, roaming, mobile data, and more – any of the services currently on offer from Vodafone.
On top of this bonus value, a promotion in 2009 included additional Vodafone minutes with every Flexi plan, an offer which was made a permanent feature of these plans on 1 January 2010. Customers will not begin consuming their 2,010 minutes until they have used all Vodafone minutes included with their current Flexi – depending on a customers’ usage, this means that the 2,010 minutes may last for as many as several months.
“This is truly an incredible gift for our customers,” said Product Manager Jason Monteiro. “We’ve given them enough minutes to last them well into 2010.”
Vodafone customers are advised to check their balance using the code *129# to confirm that their 2,010 minutes have been credited to their account, and may then begin using them immediately.
