15 Palestinian prisoners freed by Israel arrive in Doha

5 Palestinian prisoners freed by Israel within the framework of the prisoner exchange deal between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" and the Israeli government arrived in Doha early today on board a private Qatari plane. They were greeted on their arrival at Doha International Airport by HE Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, HE the Advisory (Shura) Council Speaker Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Kholeifi and Palestinian Ambassador to Qatar Munir Ghannam. The freed Palestinian prisoners were accompanied on their trip from Cairo to Doha by member of the Hamas Politburo Izzat Al Rashaq . Hamas movement had released the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit who has been detained for five years for the release of 1027 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, including 27 captive. Under the deal some 477 Palestinian prisoners were released yesterday (Tuesday) as a first phase and 550 others will be released in two months. The fifteen prisoners who arrived in Doha were among 40 prisoners whom Israel conditioned that they are to be away outside the Palestinian territories of the 477 released prisoners.. palestine-3.jpg
