The Ministry of Municipality announced on 18 July 2022, that 14,695 tonnes of waste were cleared during Eid Al Adha 2022.
The clean-up that was executed by The General Hygiene Department in the Public Services Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Municipality included all municipalities, households and solid waste.
Domestic waste amounted to 9832.54 tonnes and solid waste weighed 4862.6 tonnes from all the municipalities.
The cleaning operations were executed by a total of 664 cleaning cars and 2,723 workers.
The cleaning drive also included 158 Eid prayer places, the placement of 73 new waste containers at the sites of Eid prayer halls.
