The Pearl-Qatar, the flagship Island project of United Development Company (UDC) and one of the largest urban developments in Qatar, will host the “Talented Child Festival” at the Amphitheater – La Croisette 31 – on April 25 and May 2, 2014.

Designed to enhance the mental capabilities of children, the event includes “Mind Games” competitions pitting more than 100 children from different Qatari schools and learning centers between the ages of 14 and 16.

“These are the type of events that distinctively allow children to learn and use skills they have already been introduced to at their schools,” Roger Dagher, Director of Corporate Communication at UDC said. “These competitions will engage kids and enhance their arithmetic learning skills, and so we are thrilled to be hosting an event that is geared toward educating through entertainment.”

A wide array of fantastic entertainment activities are scheduled to run alongside the competition, essentially creating a fun atmosphere conducive to learning. Covered activities include acrobat games, face painting and kids’ concerts.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, UDC supports educational events, particularly events dedicated to bringing inspirational and educational messages to children and families through fun, exciting and memorable competitions and channels.

The competitions are sponsored by MaxMind Qatarprogram, an initiative that has been recently launched by the Skills Development Centre, Gungle Zone and Abna Alarab.
