Tomorrow is February 14, and we all know what that means; the celebration of love to put pressure on all those with a special someone to plan a perfect day and find a perfect little something, or to inevitably feel bad for being without a special someone on Valentines Day. But worry not, for both of these scenarios we have a plan! A very sweet one for that matter. And also, you are never alone, you can always go solo and treat yourself in Qatar (it’s the perfect place for treating oneself) or go out with your special some ones A.K.A your family and friends. In Finland for example Valentines Day is celebrated with your friends, the theme being treats for everyone!

Thus, here are our proposals for a sweet Sunday whether it is with your friendly Valentines or your one and only Valentine!

1. The Elixir of Love

The St Regis offers a traditional Afternoon Tea at the Sarab Lounge with a unique Valentine’s twist. From the 7^th till Valentines day you can enjoy the 3 course afternoon tea wit little gifts. From 2 30 pm to 8 o clock you and your loved one(s) can indulge for 175 QR per person.

2. Romantic treats at Marsa Malaz

The Kempinski Marsa Malaz has special romantic treats prepared at Café Murano. Delicious pastries and red velvet creations for the day all about everything RED. These are also all available throughout the week before the 14^th.

3. Afternoon Tea in a new Hotel

The Westin Doha opened its doors on the first of February and already has a specialty for the occasion. In the modern lounge you can have a more laid back afternoon tea with Luxe’s pastries, petit fours, chocolate pralines, quality coffees, and some great teas. Per couple you pay 199 QR between 2 and 5 pm on the 12^th -14^th February.

4. Cake and Biscotti

Wanna stay in but not miss out on the sweet things in life? Get V-day cake take-aways from Biscotti at Grand Hyatt. The only catch? You need to place your sugary order 24 hours before picking them up (+974 4448 1285). Hurry!

5. Tea Rituals Tasting Sessions

In case you’re a tea freak get going with your friends, husband, wife or family to the Torch Tea Garden. There for only 50 QR per person you experience traditional Chinese tea ceremonies and the elegance of the Orient. Delicate and delightful rituals take you to the roots of tea. All this on the 21^st floor, overlooking Aspire Park and the pool from 6 pm to 10:30 pm.

6. Handmade sweets and chocolates in the theme of love

Share your love at Al Jalsa in the Sharq Village and Spa Hotel. International teas, cakes, baked goods, hand-crafted chocolates and cookies are offered for eating in or take-away. Their spectacular afternoon tea is available between 2:30 and 5 pm for 135 QR per person but book in advance as scones are freshly baked for every reservation.

7. Win sweet treats

Magnolia Bakery has a competition running for Valentines Day so check their Facebook to find out about their special. At the café itself you can get their delicious cupcakes, cheesecakes and pastries or order it to come directly to you and whoever you want to share the cake with!

8. Macaroons and Mont Blanc

Angelina is still somewhat of an insider tip. The French café is located in the Gate Mall and is absolute decadence. Macaroons, French pastries and cakes baked to perfection served with the finest teas straight from Paris this will make for an amazingly sweet Valentines Day. Angelina leaves no room for disappointment when it comes to sweetness!
