The first of Shop Qatar 2021’s four digital raffle draws, was held at Doha Festival City on Friday, 17 September. 56 winners won two Genesis cars, over QAR 300,000 in cash prizes, as well as 9 prizes of PlayStation 5 and 28 gift vouchers.
The raffle draws are being conducted digitally this year, for the first time ever, and are in accordance with guidelines by the Ministry of Public Health. To participate in the raffle draw, shoppers submit details and store receipts through a contact-less process on WhatsApp. Winners are selected randomly through a digital process.
Doha Festival City General Manager, Robert Hall, said:
“We are delighted to once again collaborate with Qatar Tourism and celebrate Shop Qatar, a celebratory platform that places Doha as a key destination for shopping and tourism in the region. Our extensive and International offerings make us the preferred destination in shopping, dining, and entertainment for everyone”.
He added:
“We invite all our visitors to reap the extensive range of discounts and offers available at Festival City, and to join us for a chance to win, and celebrate with us unforgettable moments.”
Visitors and residents still have a chance to participate in the next three raffle draws by shopping or dining at any of the festival’s 15 retail partners. Every QAR200 spent at any participating retailers or restaurants accounts for one raffle draw entry. Next week's Shop Qatar Raffle Draw will be held at Hyatt Plaza mall at 8 pm on Friday 24 September.

In addition to the exciting shopping experiences, Shop Qatar 2021 offers a series of fashion and entertainment activities including fashion shows, makeup masterclasses, concerts, design workshops, and more. Renowned Lebanese Makeup Artist Bassam Fattouh will be conducting the festival’s first makeup masterclass on Tuesday, 21 September at Park Hyatt from 6-9 PM. The workshop is ticketed at QR 750 through Virgin Megastore. Attendees must be vaccinated.
