- The third edition of the Qatar International Boat Show has seen a massive increase in the number of exhibitors from Qatar, as local companies are discovering the benefits of exhibiting at their own home-grown maritime show.

Albadi Trading, Al Dar Marine, Alfardan Marine Services, Al Kashat, Al Mana Fashion – Go SPort, Al Mannai Marine, Al Omar Marine, Al Udeid Boats, ART Marine, Balhambar Boats Factory, Bergamo Trading, Blue Marine, Blue Pearl Watersports, Blue Whale Marine, Firefly Communications, Fotoarabia, French Riviera Yachts, Gais Speargun, Gulf Yachts, Halul Boats, Kaldari Marine, Katara Hospitality, Kulluna, Lingawi, Marsa Marine Services, Milaha, NDSQ, Nasser Bin Kaled Equipment, Ocean Marine, Performance Marine, Poseidon Dive Center, Protech Powered Sports, Qatar Insurance Company, Qvision, Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana - infiniti, Sora Marine, Speed Marine, Tuile, and Woqod are among the Qatari exhibitors at QIBS 2015.

And of the 85 boats on show, no fewer than 25 of them are from Qatari exhibitors.

Faysal Mikati, the founder and CEO of Snow Comms Conceptual Communications & Events, which is responsible for staging the show, said “QIBS has been growing in importance and its influence as a whole is growing significantly. Qatar is now a hugely important market within the maritime industry; and instead of Qatari companies having to travel to other shows around the Gulf to exhibit their wares, foreign companies are now coming to Doha to exhibit. This makes it much easier for Qatari companies to reach their intended audiences.”

QIBS 2015 is being held from November 10th to the 14th, with the opening times being extended by two hours from 12.30pm to 9.30pm on the Friday and Saturday.

This edition has been dedicated to the memory of Essa Al Mannai, the conceptualiser and Chairman of the Qatar International Boat Show, who passed away just over a week ago. It was Essa’s vision of Qatar staging its very own boat show, together with his determination, that led to the staging of the first edition of QIBS in 2013.
