Novo Cinemas Qatar to host simultaneous movie premieres in two locations for the first time!

Novo Cinemas, one of the biggest and most well-known movie chains in the Middle East region, is happy to announce that for the first time ever, they'll be hosting simultaneous movie premieres in two of their premier Qatar locations—01 Mall and The Pearl!

In the spotlight is drama-thriller 'Destroyer' starring Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman (who recently appeared as Arthur Joseph Curry's mother in last month's blockbuster 'Aquaman') in the title role.

She stars as young cop Erin Bell who went undercover to infiltrate a gang in the California desert but with tragic results. She continues to work as a detective for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), but feelings of anger and remorse leave her worn-down and consumed by guilt.

When the leader of that gang suddenly re-emerges in the present day, Erin embarks on an obsessive quest to find his former associates, bring him to justice and make peace with her tortured past.

The film is currently enjoying a 73% fresh approval rating from movie reviewer website Rotten Tomatoes with a critics consensus which says:

"Destroyer's grueling narrative is as uncompromising as Nicole Kidman's central performance, which adds extra layers to a challenging film that leaves a lingering impact."

Speaking to ILoveQatar.Net, Marketing Manager Kevin Campbell said that this is actually their first premiere for 2019 that's why they had to make it extra-special—by screening it in two different Novo outlets.

"We want to welcome the new year with a bang and I'm sure that there'll be more opportunities like this in the next few months to come as 2019 promises to be a really big year for blockbuster movies," he added.

'Destroyer,' directed by Karyn Kusama (who's known for her recent and critically-acclaimed work 'The Invitation') is premiering at 01 Mall and The Pearl Novo Cinemas this coming Tuesday night (January 29, 2019) from 7:30 PM onwards.
