School children across Doha enjoyed a fun-filled evening at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) on Tuesday as part of its current special exhibition: Marvellous Creatures: Animal Fables in Islamic Art. The event, entitled Night at the Museum, was organised in partnership with Teach for Qatar and gave children the opportunity to experience the museum ‘after hours’. Activities included a torchlight exhibition tour, star gazing in MIA Park and storytelling on dhow boats, where children listened to great fables of the Islamic world. Night at the Museum forms part of MIA’s continued efforts in providing dynamic exhibition activities that appeal to diverse communities, fostering an indigenous culture of creativity and innovation.
