Katara, the Cultural Village, launches its Ramadan festival on Friday with a treasure hunting competition, being held for the second year in a row.
The treasure hunt is to be held all night every Friday throughout the holy month. The start of the competition will be announced through Facebook and Twitter after Taraweeh prayer.
The announcement of the start of the competition will be made after Taraweeh prayers via Facebook and Twitter. The prize is QR5,000.
Katara Art Studios will host a variety of workshops, including one on live graffiti, from 8pm in Building 19 until July 18.
There are daily religious lectures at Katara, with senior scholars and preachers speaking on a variety of topics related to Islam.
The artful illumination done throughout Katara is very attractive too.
