Julia Roberts coming to Qatar for World Cup 2022; buys tickets for $100,000

Hollywood actor and superstar Julia Roberts has walked away with a pair of tickets worth $100,000 to the World Cup 2022 In Qatar. She bagged the tickets at an auction that was part of the pre-Golden Globes fundraiser hosted by Hollywood actor and philanthropist Sean Penn for his charity, Community Organised Relief Efforts (CORE). CORE aim is to save lives and strengthen areas and its people affected by or vulnerable to crises. It was launched to help out during the natural disaster relief and preparedness in Haiti, other parts of the Caribbean region and the US as well. It's core mission is to save lives and strengthen areas and its people affected by or are vulnerable to crises.

Hollywood stars, other than Roberts, who were present at the fundraiser at Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles neighbourhood Koreatown included her husband Danny Moder, Jamie Foxx, Ben Stiller, Keegan-Michael Key, Larry David, Mike Meyers, Casey Affleck, Jimmy Kimmel, Anderson Cooper, Connie Britton, Billy Eilish, Macy Gray, Yusuf Islam (formerly named Cat Stevens before embracing Islam), and of course, host Penn along with other prominent personalities.

Mike Myers, Jamie Foxx and Keegan-Michael Key also bid for the World Cup 2022 tickets, but at the end it was this ‘Pretty Woman’ and her husband who walked away with the prestigious tickets.

Roberts who has starred in such famous Hollywood blockbusters as ‘Pretty Woman’, Step Mom’ ‘Notting Hill’, ‘Sleeping with the Enemy, and more recently ‘Wonder’ and ‘Ben is Back’, will soon be seen on the TV screen with ‘Homecoming’, and, of course, we‘ll be seeing her in Qatar in 2022 for the World Cup.

Roberts and her three children are die-hard football fan and support Manchester United. They have attended many of their matches in the US and have also been seen taking selfies on their home turf Old Trafford in Manchester, UK, and chatting with teams members.

And, in less than four years, we’ll be seeing her on our home turf in Qatar watching the world’s biggest football championship.

No, isn’t that just so exciting!
