As the footprint of St. Regis Hotels & Resorts continues to expand across the Middle East, St. Regis unveils Jazz at St. Regis, bringing to life its passion for jazz complemented by the brand’s century-old legacy.
Dating back to 1927 with the Rooftop Ballroom at the landmark St Regis New York City that played host to some of the finest jazz musicians in history like Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Buddy Rich, and the brand’s present day global collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Centre (JALC), St. Regis continues to celebrate jazz through its hotels globally - entertaining and enlightening audiences through jazz programming, special performances and beyond expectation guest experiences.
In collaboration with JALC Doha, Jazz at St. Regis will commence its first regional concert series taking place at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi and The St. Regis Doha respectively. Eight days of outstanding musical performances that are sure to inspire and thrill jazz aficionados and their families across the GCC, this event marks the start to several jazz events planned across the three St. Regis hotels in the Middle East in 2015.
In Doha, the Journeys with Jazz events start with Jazz in MIA Park on Wednesday, October 22, this is a free community event; award winning artists will perform under the stars with the Doha city skyline as a spectacular backdrop. Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October 24 will showcase sounds of award winning artists from New York, Brazil, France, Italy and from around the region, creating a Brazilian Carnival atmosphere at JALC Doha.
On Saturday, October 25 Journeys with Jazz celebrates with a St. Regis Family Jazz Afternoon at JALC Doha. This is a free, interactive and educational afternoon, where children will be inspired as they interact with the world-class musicians. The event aims to spread St. Regis’ passion for jazz alongside celebrating the art of play with Family Traditions at St. Regis, a global programme that provides enriching experiences for younger guests. At The St. Regis Doha, one Saturday every month is dedicated to the St. Regis Family Jazz Afternoon.
Journeys with Jazz finishes with a spectacular Samba Sunset Celebration on the private beach at The St. Regis Doha, a chance to really enjoy world-class music at the finest address in Qatar.

Trumpeter Dominick Farinacci is Global Ambassador to Jazz at Lincoln Center, and has 13 recordings released internationally. He in the recipient of the International New Star Award, and Quincy Jones says of his talent, “this kid is 360 degrees!”

Vibraphonist/pianist Christian Tamburr has been Musical Director for Julio Iglesias and Cirque du Solieil, and is current Musical Director at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas.
