Known for his distinctly-recognizable vocals, the Philippines' 'Prince of Rock' Bamboo Manalac is back to set Doha's concert stage on fire for the fourth epic time -- this year at the 13,000-seater Al Arabi Sports Club on Friday (April 20, 2018).
The venue will surely be filled with wild cheers from rock fans as Manalac -- one of The Voice Philippines' coaches and Rivermaya's ex frontman -- is set to perform some of his greatest hits such as 'Tatsulok,' 'Hallelujan,' 'Probinsyana,' and 'Noypi' to name a few.
Bamboo had his first concert in Qatar back in April 2010 at Al Wakra Stadium, then returned in May 2014 for 'Bamboo Live in Doha' at the West End Park. His third concert was last October 2016.
Now as part of his 'Bamboo Live World Tour,' he has once again chosen to perform for several of his Overseas Filipino Workers(OFW) fans in Doha.
And since Bamboo's Friday performance will also be his fourth historic gig in Qatar, here are four reasons why you should finally see him live in action if you happen to miss the Philippines' rock icon's first three Doha acts:
Just like every concert event, 'Bamboo Live World Tour in Doha' will include a 1-hour front act that will be performed by local artists, featuring Thea Gosilatar Astley who competed for the Regional Finals of 'Global Tawag ng Tanghalan' (in Philippine noontime show 'It's Showtime!') and 'Qatar Duet To Win It' grand champion Janus Pochollo III. In addition, Red Cadorna, the 'Singing Nurse Balladeer of Qatar' is also expected to participate along with Trece Familia (a group of rappers), Extreme Level Danz Crew, Moving Colors and the Qatar All Star Dancers.
Filipinos are without a doubt one of the most talented earthlings EVER!
With ticket prices ranging from QR 100 to QR 300, an upgrade will be a no-brainer if you really are a big fan of Bamboo himself. You just have to spare a few more Riyals and you'll have the golden chance to meet and click a selfie with the Filipino rock legend -- easy as that! You better hurry though, as the organizer is expecting a massive and huge response from the audience who will be present on the day of the concert despite their tight scheduling to plan the event.
Pentagram Events -- one of the organizers -- is expecting 5,000 record audience, so if you win one of the Samsung android phones which will be randomly given away, then lucky you! But make sure to stay at the venue until the concert finishes as they won't be giving away the prize to someone who already left!
As the 'Bamboo Live in Doha 2018' concert is proudly sponsored by Philippine Airlines (PAL), they will be giving away one round trip flight ticket to the Pearl of the Orient Seas -- and back to Doha -- to one lucky VIP or VVIP ticket owner! Joining PAL as sponsor are Horizon Manor Hotel, Yellowcab and Q-tickets.
The Qatari Chairman of the Alrabta Al Arabia, Mr. Rashid Hamad Al Marri, assured Doha's Filipino community they they have lined up so much plans on bringing more Filipino artists to perform in the Qatar the soonest.
The gate will open at 4:00 PM and pre-show will start at 7:00 PM so if you fancy a nice view of the stage, make sure to prepare early to reach Al Arabi on time. The early bird catches the worm!
