FNAC, the leading international retailer of cultural, leisure and technological products, is delighted to announce a special musical showcase from the celebrated afro-jazz band Ezza on Thursday November 3 at 7pm at their store in Lagoona Mall.

Ezza is a renowned band hailing from France who fuse Tuareg-inspired Saharan desert blues with rock and jazz influences to create a melodic and eclectic sound that is all their own. Growing up in a blue collar family in Niger, band frontman Goumour 'Omar' Adam’s parents nurtured his musical talents from a young age. Adam crafted and honed his skills further after being inspired by a diversity of musical influences before migrating to France where he formed Ezza with bassist Menad Moussaoui from Algeria and native Frenchman and drummer Stéphane Gratteau.

The acclaimed band will be the opening act for the Katara Jazz European Festival on November 2nd. However, FNAC is offering fans and music connoisseurs a special opportunity to get up and close with Ezza, by bringing the trio in-store for those who won’t be able to catch their stage performance during the festival. Moreover, the presentation is also an added benefit for those who attended the show but are yearning for an encore.

“We are delighted to inspire and educate our customers and music lovers by hosting one of the most exciting and influential bands in the world music genre today. This intimate event demonstrates FNAC’s commitment to serve as a musical and cultural platform for a range of performance artists, and it also highlights our pledge to showcase those unique talents who have the special ability to both entertain and to enlighten,” said Mr. Bader Abdullah Al-Darwish, Chairman and Managing Director of Darwish Holding.
