Fashion Weekend International launches in Doha in spectacular style showcasing fashion extraordinaire Manish Malhotra and celebrity showstopper Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

FAB Entertainment, a Qatar based entertainment company, with a vision to provide quality entertainment from around the world, successfully launched FWI’18 which showcased Manish Malhotra’s Zween collection featuring Bollywood royalty Aishwarya Rai Bachan and stylist extraordinaire NABILA.

For the first time ever in Qatar and the world, FAB Entertainment revealed Fashion Weekend International-FWI’18 Destination Doha, a world first fashion event, curated by FAB, bringing together the most iconic fashion and beauty stars to Doha to deliver the most exciting celebrity-based fashion show in Qatar with a destination focus.

Attended by Qatar’s top VIPs, the red carpet was flanked by Alfardan Jewellery displays, Qatar Airways’ impressive red roses wall and graced by local and international media such as Vogue India, FilmFare, Hello, Grazia, OK!Pakistan, Brides Today and ZEETV with Indian celebrities including Karan Tacker and Sophie Choudry, Pakistani sensation Hamza Ali Abbasi, rising star Azaan Sami, legendary Indian film director and producer, Ramesh Sippy with actress wife Kiran Joneja, Karuna Badwal and Manjeet Rajkumar Hirani all walking the red carpet for FWI ‘18.

Catered by Zaffran, the show kicked off with Actor and reality show star, Karan Tacker opening the fashion show at FWI ’18. The spotlight was on Manish Malhotra’s intricate and sophisticated collection, showcased by over 40 international models mostly from India. Models were all bejeweled in pieces by Alfardan Jewellery along with the showstopper pieces adorned by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The pearls were from the personal collection of Mr. Hussein Al Fardan himself.

Speaking about his collection, Manish Malhotra said: “Qatar has been a huge inspiration for the line showcased at FWI ‘18 ensuring the glamourous, hand-crafted collection was opulent and cinematic. I would like to thank FAB, NABILA and of course Aishwarya (Rai Bachchan) for once again being part of my show.”

Former Miss World, Rai Bachchan also spoke at the Press Conference saying she was overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality of Doha, adding: “I think Doha was the perfect setting for Fashion Weekend International. When FAB shared the videos with me, I was excited and looking forward to it. Thank you FAB for hosting this fantastic event and making me a part of it. I am also amazed by the immaculate sense of fashion of Qatari ladies-wow.”

FAB Entertainment’s CEO, Fauzia Vohra adds: “Fashion Weekend International, Destination Doha has been a huge success. FWI continued to 6 October 2018 with make-up give-aways by NABILA, celebrity book launches, Doha Day tours at MIA and other tourist spots and a Trunk Show in the Bridal Suite of Mondrian Doha, completing a truly remarkable weekend.
