Who doesn’t love carnivals? It is a place where fun, entertainment, food and all things happy come together to give you a wonderful experience. The Al Khor Carnival too does just the same. Started on 23 January, the Al Bayt Stadium forms the perfect backdrop for this wonderful carnival. Please ensure that you wear a mask, follow social distancing and note that Ehteraz is checked for all visitors at the carnival.
The ILQ team explored the carnival to bring you all the inside details so that you don’t miss a thing! Here are all the things in store for you at the carnival.
There’s a lot of things for foodies to satisfy their taste buds while also having a gala time at the carnival. Find cute little tent-shaped kiosks neatly lined up around the park. You will also find food stalls strewn across different parts of the Al Bayt Park. There are many food trucks lined up, serving you delicious treats too. Head over to your favourite stalls, order your favourite food and drinks and enjoy the rest of the happenings there.
The carnival also boasts a bazaar that is a shopper’s paradise. Find everything from the latest abaya collections, fragrant oud, home plants, food items and even jewellery at the bazaar. This addition helps visitors enjoy some retail therapy while they are at the carnival.
The carnival is a great place to visit with your children as we are sure that they will absolutely enjoy their time there. The kids' zones consist of different areas for them to have fun.
Do your kids love science, math or even quizzing? The Kids Camp zone helps them get hands-on experience in learning a thing or two about different subjects. There are zones for math, art, science, quizzing and engineering, where the respective staff explain the different topics in a fun and entertaining way.
Navigate your way through larger-than-life-sized inflatables at this zone. This is something the kids will surely love and also a great place for adults to feel like kids again. There are ample opportunities for you to take selfies and photos as a family here.
The little ones can choose among a ride on the choo-choo train, jump about in the trampolines or build their own fortress made out of styrofoam at the kids play area.
As the sun goes down, the Zoo of Lights comes alive. Watch the animals dazzle and light up in this area and this is a must-visit Instagrammable spot to make some lovely memories.
Please note that there is an entry fee of QR 100 to get access to the Kids Camp, Inflatables Park, Kids Mania and Zoo of Lights zones.
This zone has more activities for the kids to do like jump around in the bouncy castle, act as a human claw and dive into a pit of balls to grab treats, fly kites and much more! Each activity is priced differently starting from QR 10.
Dwell in the traditional ways at the majlis located at different places around the park. You will also be treated to free gahwa while you’re there. It is also a great place to relax if you’re tired of all the roaming and shopping.
Witness the beautiful art on display by various artists at the Sea Shore Art zone. You might even chance upon the artists doing live paintings here.
In case you lose something at the Carnival, there's a Lost and Found section there. The number is +974 66646015 (call after 12 pm).
