Entertainers to end Summer in Qatar with music and laughter

As Summer in Qatar comes to a close on the weekend of 16 August, an assortment of entertainment options will end the festivities in a riot of colour and laughter. Some tickets are still available for performances.

Opening on the first day of Eid and running until 17 August, Kuwaiti play “Khutowat AlShaytan” (Devil’s Steps) will be staged at Qatar National Theatre. Tickets are available through (https://www.gofortickets.com/).

Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) is hosting many entertainment events, beginning with visual arts performers Blue Man Group, which will enthrall crowds from 14-17 August. Tickets are available through (https://tixbox.com/en/).

The season’s second instalment of the Doha Comedy Festival will see British-Iranian Omid Djalili, Lebanese-American Nemr, and Qatari comedian Hamad Al-Amari bring down the house with their unique observations on 15 August. As a special treat for all South Indian movie fans in Qatar, Lusail Arena will host a galaxy of stars for the 8th South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) on 15 and16 August. The two-day extravaganza will celebrate the best of South Indian cinema in Qatar, coinciding with the Qatar-India Year of Culture. Tickets are available through (https://www.aynatickets.com/).
