Doha Still Rockin' As Disney On Ice Wows Fans

More than 3800 people filled Qatar National Convention Centre arena last night for the final performance of Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After. The new show, which made its international debut outside America in, was performed nine times over four days.

Showcasing spectacular scenes from Disney•Pixar’s Brave, Disney’s Tangled, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, thousands of children from across the UAE enjoyed seeing the magic of Disney’s well-loved stories re-told on the ice. With appearances from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and friends, the ice skating extravaganza mesmerised people young and old over four days of magic and musical wonder.

Produced by Feld Entertainment, presented by the Qatar Tourism Authority and its Events Diary, OnQatar and organised by Sport & Entertainment Solutions (SES) in association with q.media Events, Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After saw the Qatar National Convention centre transform into a skating arena.

Ali Haidary, Founder and CEO of SES, said: “Doha has been well and truly ‘rockin’ over the past four days as we brought Disney on Ice presents Rockin’ Ever. People of all ages were captivated by the show.

“We hope that this year’s show will mark the tip of the iceberg for our collaboration with Feld Entertainment, and we look forward to working with them again to bring the magic of Disney on Ice back to the region soon.”

Wrapping up with a light stick show, Disney stars including Merida, Ariel, Belle and Rapunzel rocked the ice one final time last night with an enthralling send-off to wish the audience farewell.


Rashed Alqurese, Executive Director of Marketing and Promotions at Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), said: “Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After has enchanted and enthralled the city over the last four days as a major event as part of the Qatar Summer Festival. Supporting a quality family entertainment brand such as Disney On Ice is evidence of QTA efforts to promote Qatar as a family destination. The show has wowed the diverse local population as well as attracted many families from across the GCC. We look forward to once again working with Sport & Entertainment Solutions to in 2015 to continue to achieve our objective in making Qatar the hub for family entertainment in the region.”
