Doha Outlet Mall to open by first quarter next year

Qatar Property Management (QPM) company is gearing up to open the doors of its upcoming ‘Doha Outlet Mall’ to customers by the first quarter of 2015.

This was announced by Mana bin Ibrahim Al Mana, Chairman, QPM in a press conference yesterday.

Al Mana said: “The mall at West End Park, owned by Jassim bin Mohammad bin Thani Social Care Foundation, is the first and largest of its kind in Qatar and the region. As the name suggests, it will house outlets of leading international brands clearing their stocks at heavily discounted prices. The mall is almost ready and scheduled to open by early next year. Over 75 percent of the space has been booked.

“It is a distinctive destination to a new type of shopping experience as it will offer high- end brands at discounted prices, and a wide range of products to suit all tastes and budgets. It is expected to attract large numbers of residents and visitors during the holiday season and festivities.”

He said this is the first mall that offers the concept of discounted shopping in the country. It comprises a large number of the finest and most famous international brands and products, and will provide valuable shopping experience, allowing people to purchase the latest high-end branded items.

The first official announcement will be made at Cityscape Qatar 2014, which is opening today at Qatar National Convention Centre. The opening ceremony will be held at the mall on the first day of the exhibition, after the opening of Cityscape, Qatar.

Al Mana stressed that the mall is designed to reinforce Qatar’s status as a tourist destination which is distinct and refined, where it provides promotions and activities that give customers a great shopping experience.

“The mall comprises a ground floor of 20,470sqm and 2,500sqm parking spaces. It has four department retails stores, each over 1,000sqm. The mall also has 170 shopping stores for mens’, women’s and children’s fashion in addition to jewellery, electronics, shoes, perfumes and a special section for sports.

“There is also a food court and a 2,000sqm space for gardens and external bazaars which gives a homogenous flow and tone to the mall.”
