With things slowly going back to normal and with one year to go before the much-awaited FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, Qatar is once again buzzing with activities and events. But what are the events you shouldn't miss out on before the year ends?
From concerts to food festivals, to football tournaments, there'll be something new to do with friends and family. The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team has compiled a list of the events you should add to your social calendar this December 2021. Check them out below!

The most awaited food festival is finally back this year. This time, you'll be able to enjoy Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) both at Al Bidda Park and Corniche Road. Aside from a wide variety of food and beverages from different cuisines, foodies can enjoy other activities such as live cooking, exciting competitions, masterclasses, carnival games, fireworks, live music, and much more at the Qatar International Food Festival 2021.
The first FIFA pan-Arab football tournament is starting at the end of November, giving everyone a glimpse of what to expect one year later at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™ will host 16 teams from across the Arab world in six #Qatar2022 stadiums. Aside from the matches, there will also be different fan activations in Corniche.
Those attending FIFA Arab Cup™ matches will experience pre and post-match activations around five tournament venues: Al Bayt, Ahmad Bin Ali, Al Janoub, Al Thumama, and Stadium 974. This will include music, dance, folklore, and other performances from communities representing Qatar, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Morocco, Sudan, and others. Cultural activations will be located in the last mile area and metro/bus stations near the stadiums, with a total of 200 performances in 60 locations set to take place during the tournament.
Away from the tournament venues, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy some exciting activations along the Doha Corniche. Numerous performances will take place on three mini-stages along the Corniche at the Qatar International Food Festival, with performers coming from local communities that represent the participating teams in the tournament. Corniche activities will be open to the public on weekdays from 6 PM to 10 PM and on weekends from 5 PM to 12 AM until Friday 3 December.

Qatar citizens and residents will be treated to eight interactive installations, 1 musical water show and the largest ever monumental LED installation in Qatar, according to the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads & Public Places. The light and sound shows will be held at the Corniche from Al Masrah Park to Pearl Monument, from 26 November to 19 December, coinciding with the Qatar International Food Festival.
Although Darb Al Saai activities are still cancelled this year, Qatar National Day will be celebrated across the country through various events and yearly activities such as the National Parade.
Aside from Qatar, nine countries (Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Greece, India, Zanzibar and Turkey) will be participating in this year's Katara Traditional Dhow Festival, which highlights Qatar's ancestral maritime traditions.
This year's edition will see a number of competitions such as the 'Nahma' competition (Arab singing tradition), Haddaq Al-Saif (fishing), storytelling and Fine Arts competitions. There will also be traditional stage shows, handicrafts workshops, live music, artistic performances, and food from various cuisines.
See real-life versions of the famous Hot Wheels monster truck toys at this event! This event will also feature a special appearance from the high-flyers of Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, Freestyle Motocross. Enjoy smashing, crashing, epic monster truck competitions, and experience over-the-top action!

High-profile Arab artists will be performing live and serenading everyone with their musical hits for this year's Qatar Live.

From fashion shows, forums, to workshops, there's something for all fashionistas at the Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition. You'll be able to view the latest collections from international and up-and-coming local designers and view more than 150 exhibitors from Qatar, Turkey, and the Arab world.
The Qatar Balloon Festival is also back this December with over 30 balloons of varying shapes. People can also book a hot air balloon ride at reduced prices during the 10-day festival. There will also be plenty of entertainment as well as food and beverage options.
Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five returns to Qatar in a special edition where the winners will represent Qatar on home turf at this year’s World Finals.
