A host of celebrities from Qatar and across the Arab world will join thousands of families for the seventh Wheels ‘n’ Heels Family Fun Day organised by Reach Out to Asia (Rota) this Friday. Maersk Oil Qatar is the flagship sponsor of the event while Qatar Cycling Federation (QCF) is the strategic partner.
Wheels ‘n’ Heels 2014 will be held at the Museum of Islamic Art Park with eight hours of exciting activities for the entire family. The event starts at 2pm with the Wheels ‘n’ Heels action zones bursting into life.
Music fans are expected to flock to the Wheels ‘n’ Heels stage to enjoy the performance of UAE superstar Shamma Hamdan. She is the first Emirati woman to make it to the finals of the reality show Arabs Got Talent.
“I want to thank all the entertainers, musicians and celebrities for reaching out to have fun at Wheels ‘n’ Heels,” said Rota executive director Essa al-Mannai. “Friday promises to be a really fantastic fun day and I encourage the families of Qatar to come along and enjoy all the excitement at Wheels ‘n’ Heels.”
The seventh Wheels ‘n’ Heels promises a spectacular stage programme with a stunning performance by Jordanian music sensation, television host and actress Diana Karazon, winner of the first ever Super Star television series, while young ones will enjoy meeting popular Baraem Children’s Channel presenters Ahmed al-Mulla and Jihan Arsanious, masters of ceremony at the event.
There will be opportunities for sports fans to have their photographs taken and get autographs from sports icons, Mahmoud and Abdullah Bo Shri from Kuwait, rally racer Nada Zeidan of Qatar and teenage swimming sensation Nada Mohamed Arakji of Qatar.
Participants will have the opportunity to jump on a skateboard or lace up a pair of trainers to complete the circuit. The social activity will help Rota raise funds to provide quality education to 48mn disadvantaged children in Asia.
Similarly, the Kids Zone at Wheels ‘n’ Heels 2014 will keep children occupied for hours with non-stop live entertainment, bouncy castles, face-painting and a whole lot of fun games, interactive sports and performances by well-known singers and dancers.
The Wheels ‘n’ Heels Food Zone will fuel the passion for community celebration and an active lifestyle by providing a selection of tasty, healthy snacks and drinks throughout the day.
