Celebrated Musician Ibrahim Maalouf Enthralls Fans at Album-Signing ceremony at FNAC

FNAC, the leading international retailer of cultural, leisure and technological products, hosted a meet-and-greet event for fans of renowned jazz performer Ibrahim Maalouf and media representatives at its store located in Lagoona Mall, to celebrate the album signing ceremony of his latest compilation, Red & Black Light.

The album signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Bader Al-Darwish, Chairman and Managing Director of Darwish Holding, His Excellency Mr. Eric Chevallier, French Ambassador to Qatar, and a lot of his fans and well-wishers living in Qatar.

Ibrahim Maalouf, an acclaimed trumpet player and teacher, composer and arranger, is in Doha along with his band to participate in the 2^ndedition of the Katara European Jazz Festivalrunning from October 28 to November 1, 2015 at the Katara Cultural Village.

Incorporating electro and pop elements, “Red and Black Light”, the artist’s latest work include a cover byBeyoncéas well as their own material. Its true essence can be revealed only through a mathematical reading of the album. Recorded in France in Ivry-sur-Seine with Eric Legnini (keyboards), François Delporte (guitar) and Stephane Galland (drums), the album is above all a desire to represent the importance and necessarily complex nature of things and persons that are essential.
