As the sun sets and the lights come on, Aprire park will come to life from 18 October as a vibrant and bustling Asian Night Market will kick-off. The market is aimed at showcasing and celebrating Asian cuisines and products throughout a month to cater to families, foodies, residents, and communities in Qatar. Taking place at the children’s Play Area of Aspire Park, the event also intends to promote the cultural exchange through food, products, and traditional activities between Asian, Qatari, and other expatriate communities in the country.

The first-ever DC Asian Night Market is being organized by Doha City Event Management & Services (DC Event), in cooperation with Italian company Innovative Hight-Tech Solutions.

A variety of Asian cuisines

More than 30 restaurants are all lined up to showcase Asian cuisines that include Korean, Thai, Filipino, Indian, Pakistani and Arabic. In addition to that, some local specialty cafes, as well as outlets selling desserts like ice cream, yogurt, and the hugely popular bubble tea drinks will join the event.

Bazaar

For the shop lovers, the vibrant market will also host non-food vendors offering a range of garments, cosmetics, toys, and kitchenware among others.

Cultural performances

To add more flavor to the event, various schools and community groups will perform festival dances, modern production numbers, and other live acts during weekends. These community events also aim to support local businesses and talents. The opening day will feature an exciting street festival dance performance by the Philippine International School in Qatar and an Indian dance by Hope Qatar.

Henna, face painting, photo booth and much more!

The event offers attractions for everyone, from henna, face painting to a photo booth - there are so many amazing things to do to keep the whole family entertained. Additionally, there will be a free cupcake making for children aged five to 12 to be hosted by WASAHQ Culinary Arts.

Stalls are encouraged to decorate their booths to highlight the countries they are representing and the best stalls will be selected during the opening day. Entry to the market is free of charge.
