Qatar’s one and only water theme park will be hosting a local Bollywood dance group, D4Dance, which will perform in collaboration with Music and Arts School Kalabhavan Qatar on Friday, 22nd of August. In addition, there will be a local English alternative rock band, Music Vending Machine, and various interactive children’s activities starting from 5pmonwards.

Children’s activities include face painting, balloon twisting and games with the MC.

The events come as a continuation of Aqua Park’s commitment to fostering the water park as a go-to destination for families in Qatar and the GCC region, after a lively week of successful Eid al-Fitr activities that took place at the end of July. Along with the frequent family-oriented events, Aqua Park is introducing new amusement park rides in August such as inflatable slides, which will come as an addition to the park’s already existing 15 thrilling water rides, and bumper boats.

“Whether it’s attractive promotions, hosting live performances, adding new attractions to the park, or organizing large-scale events such as the Pirate-event we had in Eid al-Fitr, Aqua Park is continuously looking for and introducing new ways to engage the local community, especially on Fridays, which are designated family days. Our activities this month are also in line with and support Qatar Tourism Authority’s Summer Festival family-focused events,” said Mohamad Firdaus Raj, General Manager of Aqua Park.

In addition to Friday family day, Tuesdays at Aqua Park are also designated ladies-only days, where bachelors are not allowed in. Also, starting from September, Aqua Park will be introducing a new back-to-school promotion.

So far, the park has attracted 80,000 visitors for this season only. A total of 150,000 people visited Aqua Park in 2013, and, the total for this year is an expected 170,000, which is looking highly achievable.

Aqua Park has managed to uphold the highest safety standards since its opening. The park is staffed with 50 lifeguards and 12 security officers, ensuring that it is a safe environment for all ages.

Whether you’re coming with your family or friends, Aqua Park has something to offer guests of all age groups and swimming abilities. From a children’s activity pool, to four-storey high water slides and family pools, the park features 15 exhilarating water rides and attractions spread over an area of 50,000 sq. meters.
