The AmCham and MEBS 1st Annual Chili Cook-Off 2015 was held at the Doha Marriott Hotel on Saturday 21st February, as part of the “Discover America - USA Week Qatar” (Feb 16-22, 2015).
Teams from Harley Davidson, Camp Goshen Cookers, Marriott Doha, W Hotel, VCU, Grayling, Chili Mafia, Giggles, and “The Red Hot Chili Preppers” competed to win the “People’s Choice” award for the best chili; their dishes judged in terms of spiciness, flavour and originality by the U.S. Embassy in Qatar and U.S. Ambassador to Qatar, Dana Shell Smith and guests at the event. The victors, in what was a closely fought competition, were finally named as “The Red Hot Chili Preppers”.
Entertainment at the event was provided by AFCENT Band, the Hayley Walmsley Band with Doha Jazz, Harley Davidson Qatar and H.O.G. Qatar Chapter riders.
