Qatar University announces that it will continue to receive online applications for admission of undergraduate students for the fall 2020 semester in all colleges of the university, until June 11 through its official website.

The University's Admission Department said that the application for admission is filled out electronically on the university's official website, with the required documents uploaded electronically, noting that application does not require attendance at the university for the precautionary measures taken to curb the spread of the new coronavirus.

The Admission Department also stressed the importance of speedy downloading of the required documents before June 11, 2020, for all new and transferred students as well as students applying for a second bachelor's degree.

It noted that the colleges available for admission according to percentage and criteria are: Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Management and Economics, College of Law, College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Education and College of Health Sciences at an average of no less than 70 percent, while admission is required at the College of Medicine and Dentistry at not less than 85 percent and 80 percent for the College of Pharmacy.

Qatar University says that admission depends on the principle of competition among applicants, noting that achieving the minimum requirements for studying in the secondary certificate does not mean accepting student on the first choice, but students are accepted according to the absorptive capacity of each college separately.

Qatar University is scheduled to announce admission decisions for the fall season 2020, on July 26.
