QatarDebate Center, a member of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development has announced the launch of the second workshop of the " The Oasis of Dialogue" under the title "Qatar Economy: Strengths and Defects", on Tuesday evening via the Internet, with the participation of a number of experts, specialists, researchers and those interested in contemporary issues, in addition to the corresponding youth.

The Oasis of Dialogue discusses various areas of interest, dealing with the most prominent matters that societies face and the issues and events they live. The oasis provides a platform for exchanging ideas actively to promote the idea of free speech and open dialogue.

The "Oasis of Dialogue" aims to provide a constructive environment for dialogue and the exchange of ideas and theses, and seeks to build a positive interactive system based on the discovery and respect of others.

The panel discusses three main axes through which the participants will get acquainted with the ways to submit proposals and perceptions about the strengths and weaknesses in the Qatari economy and the role of the private sector in the diversity of income sources, where the first axis deals with the evaluation of the Qatari economy at the present time, and the second discusses the strengths and weaknesses in the Qatari economy, while the third axis features the role of the private sector in diversifying sources of income and supporting the local economy.

Dr. Hayat Marafi, Executive Director of the QatarDebate , said that the "Oasis of Dialogue" is a venue for expert minds and youth skills, and a forum for discussion among emerging talent and competencies of thinkers and academics.

She added that the first panel discussion of the "Oasis of Dialogue" was successful and fruitful, and the Center was able to discuss current important issues , as it is a spacious arena designed to educate young people on specialized topics and scientific fields that stimulate ideas, experiences and community development.

Dr. Hayat Marafi noted that the choice of the title of the panel discussion "Qatar Economy: Strengths and Defects" coincides with the risks and challenges arising from the current crises and looking at them from several aspects and creating an academic environment to discuss these issues and trying to reach sustainable economic development. She appreciates the participation of experts and specialists in this dialogue session, and everyone who helps prepare for it.

The Second Workshop of the " Oasis of Dialogue" will be attended by Dr. Khalid Al-Khater, a specialist in monetary policy, political economics and economic growth, and Dr. Al-Anoud Al-Maadeed, Assistant Professor of Economics at Qatar University, and will be moderated by Nasser Al-Emadi, a graduate of business administration from Qatar University.
