Qatar Charity QFBA sign joint agreement for financially distressed students

Qatar Charity signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) in cooperation with Northumbria University to support and pay for financially distressed students, as well as explore opportunities for studies and research and develop volunteer work among students.

Under the signed agreement, the financially distressed students will be transferred to Qatar Charity to study their social cases to determine their entitlement to the required assistance. Also, the charitable initiatives of the students will be supported with expertise and resources, in addition to facilitating the research conducted by the students.

The two parties will work to explore opportunities for studies and research and develop volunteer work among students, in addition to promoting the values of solidarity and social work among students and supporting financially distressed students by creating an online account under the name "university student support project" dedicated to Northumbria University students to pay for them according to the students' social status.

Qatar Charity's employees will participate in relevant training programs related to development issues, humanitarian work, and the management of non-profit organizations.

CEO's assistant for the Programs and Community Development sector at Qatar Charity Faisal Rashid Al Fahida welcomed this step, saying that Qatar Charity is keen to strengthen cooperation and establish partnerships with the relevant authorities in the local community, especially in the field of social solidarity, which supports the pursuit of young people for their university education.

Qatar Charity focuses on spreading the culture of volunteer work and supporting initiatives in this field, especially among youth, he added, expressing happiness to sign this agreement today with QFBA in cooperation with Northumbria University.

Acting President of QFBA Khalifa Al Yafei said that the importance of this agreement lies in supporting financially distressed students at the university, as well as in creating opportunities for volunteer work through joint programs with Qatar Charity related to humanitarian work.

He pointed out that through this agreement, QFBA aspires to provide an opportunity for students to complete their higher education while encouraging them to participate in voluntary and humanitarian initiatives organized by the association and help develop their skills.
