The Ministry of Education urged all schools in Qatar to follow the precautionary health measures to tackle the Coronavirus 'COVID-19', which were previously announced through the Ministry of Security and Safety Department.
The Ministry warns that whoever violates preventive procedures and measures deliberately and negligently in relation to the current situation, exposes himself to legal accountability before the competent authorities in the State of Qatar, as the application of Law No. 9 of 2020 will not be negligent, which amends some provisions of Decree-Law No. 17 for the year 1990 regarding the prevention of contagious diseases, the penalty of which may be imprisonment for a period not exceeding 3 years and a fine not exceeding QR 200,000 or either of these two penalties.
