In a post in its social media account, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the following:
"Minister of Education and Higher Education H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi has issued a ministerial decision for the academic year 2019/20.
(1) 1- The dates for the second-round examination for all grades from (first to twelfth - day and adult education) for the academic year 2019/2020 will be from August 23, 2020, to August 31, 2020.
(2) The start of the duty of staff in schools for the academic year 2020/2021 is effective from August 19, 2020.
( 3 ) The start of classes for students for the academic year 2020/2021 will be effective from September 1, 2020.
(4) Any rule that violates the provisions of this decision shall be canceled. All competent authorities, each within its jurisdiction, shall implement this decision, and it shall be enforced from the date of its issuance.
