HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Mohammed bin Abdulwahed Al Hammadi said Thursday that the ministry prepared new regulations for schools that are in the final process of the legislative process.
His Excellency stressed that the new regulations will address many of the current articles that were put during the launch of independent school, focusing this year on serving school employees and teachers.
This came during the meeting of HE the Minister of Education with teachers of Umm Salal Mohammed Model Independent School for Boys, where they exchanged views on the different issues related to the educational process.
His Excellency stressed on the importance of adhering to the directives of the ministry in order to avoid increasing the number of written reports and increasing the burdens on teachers in general, noting that reports that do not provide real benefits should be disregarded to focus on the academic side. HE the Minister also discussed the importance of facilitating cooperation and the relationship between school administrations and teachers.
On the remarks teachers had for the school curriculums, HE the Minister stressed that they will make use of that feedback to improve the curriculums in the future. His Excellency also highlighted that the assistant teacher jobs will only be cancelled for the second grade, with the ministry using them to plug the demand for assistant teachers at other levels such as early education and first grade.
His Excellency also said that all remarks made during the meeting will be discussed further with the ministry's experts to get their points of view. (QNA)
