Joaan bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College celebrated Sunday the graduation of the Joint Operations Course No. (1) and the Joint Command and Staff Course No. (5), at the headquarters of Ahmed bin Mohammed Military College in the presence of H.E. Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem.

The first edition of the Joint Operations Course was held at the state level and lasted for 43 weeks, involving 17 officers. Each graduate received a master's degree in strategic and management sciences.

The participants in this course are senior officers from various units of the Qatari Armed Forces. Future editions may include officers from brotherly and friendly countries.

The main objectives of the course include enhancing the capabilities of officers engaged in the analysis of regional and international crises, training on the management of joint operations and management of strategic crisis, and identifying current and future challenges facing the armed forces at the operational and strategic levels.

Meanwhile, the Joint Command and Staff Course No. (5), which kicked off in September and lasted for 11 months, included 32 officers from different military bodies in the state, 22 officers from the State of Kuwait and 4 officers from the Sultanate of Oman.

The course aimed at qualifying officers to become commanders and officers capable of working in various environments and conditions required by joint action.

Commenting on the occasion, Director of Specialized Studies at Joaan bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College, Brig. Gen. (Pilot) Mohammed Hamad Fetais Al Marri, extended thanks to H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, H.E. Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, and H.E. Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Hamad Al Nuaimi, for their unlimited support which contributes directly to the development of officers of the Armed Forces, thus increasing their readiness for the challenges ahead.

Al Marri added that under the directives of the General Command in keeping pace with development, Joaan bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College plans to hold a national defense course in September next year.
