The German International School celebrated it’s 10th year in Doha last year with the ‘Excellent German School Abroad” seal of quality award after it passed the Federal-State Inspection (BLI) with flying colours. The school consists of a Kindergarten (children between 3 - 6 years of age), a Primary School (grades 1 - 4) and a Secondary School I and II. Grades 11 and 12 are taught according to the specifications of the IB Diploma-Programme (German/English) to provide students with a diploma that will help them to get a place at an university in Germany or any other country in the world.
Starting from Kindergarten and right up to the International Baccalaureate (IB®), the German International School offers German-speaking children, and those who want to become German-speaking, a schooling programme based on the curriculum of the federal state of Thuringia, adapted to the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The German International School promotes encounters and exchange with the host country Qatar and its international population. The national language, history, and culture as well as the country‘s international diversity are incorporated in the teaching and life of the school.
