The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that the opening of early registration for adult education for the academic year 2022-2023 will be from Tuesday, April 26 to Thursday, June 2. On the other hand, the start of the electronic registration and early transfer in government schools for the next academic year will begin on Sunday 24 April and run until Thursday, 9th June 2022.

The early registration and transfer may be processed through the ministry's online public services portal.

Early registration for adult education

Director of Schools Affairs Ali Jassim Al Kuwari stated that all students registered in the current academic year 2021-2022 may enter through the electronic public service portal and register for the new academic year 2022-2023 as “temporary registration" starting 26 April. This will confirm the desire to continue studying in the same school where the student is currently enrolled.

Aside from this, the student must review the school at the beginning of the new academic year in order to complete their registration, provide the necessary documents and get their academic books.

New students and those who wish to switch schools can register electronically for the next academic year starting in August 2022. Once registered, students may visit the school with the necessary documents to confirm the electronic registration on the school system and receive textbooks.

Students may enrol in the ministry's two systems including homeschooling - parallel track. It is worth noting that the parallel education track is for Qatari students only at the secondary school level (the tenth grade – the eleventh grade – the twelfth grade) and those who are not less than 25 years old. For this track, the regular or day-time education tracks of the Qatari education system are not applied.

Early registration and transfer for public schools

The Department of Schools Affairs has issued a circular to all public schools and kindergartens, stating that registration will be electronic and will begin on 24 April. Once completed, the guardian will receive an SMS indicating that the early registration process for the student has been completed.

The early registration process has two phases: the first phase will begin from 24 April to June 9 and will be open for the following:

  • Qataris
  • Qatari women's children
  • citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries

The second phase will be available for all nationalities from 15 May to 26 May.

Transferring students between schools at all levels of education (according to the school's geographic location and the number of available places) will begin from 29 May to 9 June for the following:

  • Qataris
  • Qatari women's children
  • citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries

All nationalities may process their transfer starting from 5 June to 9 June.

On the other hand, registration of students in specialized and technical schools, in accordance with the conditions stated in the admission and registration policy as approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, will start from 24 April to 9 June for all nationalities.
