Doha Oasis for Innovation, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in cooperation with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, an international organization affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, will start on Sunday.

The event will be held under the supervision of Qatar Cultural and Heritage Events Center in cooperation with the Qatar Scientific Club. The event's slogan is "The Nation with its youth" and it continues until September 20.

The Doha Oasis for Innovation, which is an event dedicated to young people, aims at stimulating youth creativity in the fields of invention and innovation, guiding the younger generation to the path of knowledge and hard work to achieve aspired development and prosperity.

The event also aims at developing the spirit of innovation and creativity among the youth, endorsing and upgrading the Muslim youths innovative capacities, and enhancing digital manufacturing skills.

During this event, individual and collective competitions will be held to develop the talents and abilities of young people in the fields of invention, innovation, and manufacturing.

The first one is an individual competition, for youth between the ages of 18 and 30, which will be held on 15 and 16 September at Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena. These inventions will be subject to a jury that operates according to international standards. The competitors will compete in 22 disciplines covering all disciplines related to international inventions.

The second part of the event is a group competition for the participating youth. It starts on Wednesday, September 18 and continues at the Qatar Science Club for 48 consecutive hours, ending on Friday, September 20. Participants are divided into several teams who experience collective innovation from scratch, where tasks are distributed from brainstorming and idea to implementation.

The Qatar Science Club will provide all the capabilities, equipment and equipment necessary to assist innovators in the implementation of their collective inventions, by devoting a workshop to each team to implement its idea, and will support the leading products, taking into account the rights of all participants.

Gold, silver and bronze medals are to be awarded in the individual competitions, and the winners of the group competition will be honoured during the closing ceremony of the 2019 Doha Islamic Youth Capital.

Doha Oasis for Innovation has received great attention as 6,000 inventors from the Islamic world have registered to compete for the best projects.
