The cabinet meeting stated that a draft decision of the Minister of Education and Higher Education had been approved which amended some provisions of Decision No. 42 of 2017, setting the price of schools textbooks and school transport fees for non-Qatari students who are not GCC nationals and exempting them from these fees.
To provide further clarification regarding this, The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) issued a statement explaining that the exemption of the mentioned school textbook fees and transportation fees was for children of Imams and Muezzins who are registered with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, regardless of nationality.
