As part of the program, enthusiastic students with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other developmental challenges, aged three to 18, showcased a number of heartfelt and moving performances which comprised of colourful songs and plays. The teenage students, as part of their vocational training, mounted an exhibition of recycled handmade products that demonstrated their creativity and ingenuity.
“We are so honoured to have been chosen as the venue for the 5th Annual Day of SBS. The positive energy and spirit of these children are overwhelming and as a venue, we can only hope to continue providing a platform for them to shine,” says Safak Guvenc, Area Manager Qatar and Oman, Starwood Hotels & Resort and General Manager of W Doha ,The occasion was graced by eminent representatives from several establishments that also support SBS and of course, the students’ families, friends and teachers. Since 2011, the centre has been delivering individual therapy sessions in a school setting and offers many specialist are services such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, specialized tutoring and applied behavioural analysis.
