The Pearl-Qatar in line with its observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan is now hosting Qatar Charity’s Al-Baraha tent which features a series of religious and cultural activities targeting the Island’s residents and surrounding community. The Pearl-Qatar’s Al-Baraha tent adjacent to the mosque at Porto Arabia’s entrance was inaugurated on the 3rd of Ramadan and its activity program will extend until the 19th day of the blessed month.

The daily program which takes place between 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm includes “Tarawih” prayers, religious lectures, Quran sermons and Islamic recitations “Inshad” by prominent religious scholars. In as much as Al-Baraha is an initiative to practice spirituality and charity, it also emphasizes knowledge-based entertainment through a number of interactive events targeting children and families including competitions with prizes, in addition to a food section catered by Hospitality Development Company’s Al-Tabkha and a traditional food and craft market operated by Qatari families.

According to Abdulrahim Al-Ibrahim, Director of The Pearl-Qatar Central Authority, “This Ramadan activity is far more than an experience mirroring the unique and different lifestyle that The Pearl-Qatar promises to provide in Ramadan. It is an attempt at consolidating ties with our residents and stakeholders by bringing them closer to the true meaning of community living and virtuous being reflected in Islam’s teachings.”

“Ramadan is a month of blessing’”, Al-Ibrahim adds, “and The Pearl-Qatar aims at celebrating the piety of the month with the Qatari and Muslim society at large, within the framework of cooperation and partnership existing between United Development Company (UDC), master developer of The Pearl-Qatar and Qatar Charity.”

Al-Baraha program implemented for the third consecutive year by Qatar Charity is set up for the first time against The Pearl-Qatar’s picturesque backdrop, reaffirming the Island’s position as a leading urban development in The State of Qatar, and as Doha’s fastest growing community.
