The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) hosted a photography exhibition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Shafallah Center and to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2019.

Guests who attended include Dr. Julia Gonnella, Director of the Museum of Islamic Art, Ms. Amal Al-Mannai, CEO of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, Mrs. Laalei Abu Alfain, Managing Director of Best Buddies Qatar and CEO of Shafallah Center and Mr. Salem Al-Marri, Deputy Director of Learning and Outreach at Museum of Islamic Art.

The exhibition featured seventy photographs that captured various activities, events and milestones that Shafallah Center has achieved over the past twenty years.

Various activities for members of Shafallah Center were also organized; including a treasure hunt and an arts workshop among others.

The first group of students visited the library for a storytelling session, while the second group worked as a team to recreate one of the pieces displayed in the Set in Stones: Gems and Jewels from Royal Indian Courts exhibition. The final group visited the galleries and explored the pieces displayed at MIA.

The event was jointly organized by Qatar Museums, Shafallah Center, Best Buddies Qatar and Seashore Group of Companies.
