Last week, a group of 28 Sixth Form students from Doha British School put on three performances of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, to conclude their Creativity, Activity and Service project.
With a cast of 18 members and a creative team of 10, the students spent the past 3 months independently preparing for their production. This involved abridging the Shakespearean script, learning it, designing the set and costumes, as well as marketing and selling tickets. The project was led by Hala Al Shami (director, producer, and cast member).
As hectic as the process was, the final product was definitely a success, as it was enjoyed by the audience as well as the cast and crew members.
