Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, the 5-star luxury hotel, joined forces with Qatar Cancer Society for the ‘Let Us Join Hands’ children’s event that was organized to empower the children of our community fighting cancer and to raise their spirits.

The special event took place on Monday September 26 at the Al Rayyan Conference Hall in Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel. Sheraton Grand Doha and Qatar Cancer Society welcomed both the children and their families where they participated in a variety of fun-filled games and activities. The kids clapped, danced and sang along to the live musical entertainment.

The ‘Let Us Join Hands’ children’s cancer event had been planned by Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel in collaboration with Qatar Cancer Society to raise awareness of pediatric cancer in support of a global corporate social responsibility initiative where employees at Sheraton Hotels and offices around the world volunteer throughout the year as a part of the Starwood ‘Together As One’ campaign. On a local level, Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel is committed to giving back to the community through in-kind giving and associate volunteerism.

“By organizing the ‘Let Us Join Hands’ in partnership with Qatar Cancer Society we were able to commemorate the children for their bravery and bring happiness into their world by sharing one special day where these kids can enjoy themselves” said Nick Heath, Complex General Manager of Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel.

“We were very delighted to have partnered with Sheraton Grand Doha to spotlight this dreadful disease. Worldwide every 3 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. It is imperative that we remain vigilant in the search for a cure. It’s also important that we remember that these children endure numerous treatments and an occasion such as ‘Let Us Join Hands’ is the perfect way for all of us to join hands to fight cancer and a wonderful way for these young cancer patients to have fun and to just be kids again,” said Maryam Hamad Al Noaimi, General Manager of Qatar Cancer Society.
