A student of an Asian community school was hospitalised in a critical condition after being stabbed by a schoolmate last Thursday.
The student was involved in a heated exchange with his attacker over a monetary dispute, local Arabic daily Al Raya reported yesterday.
The daily didn’t give the nationality of the high school students but said they were Asians. The attacker also suffered minor injuries in the scuffle and was recuperating in a hospital.
The victim’s condition remained serious as the injuries are critical.
Al Fazaa caught the stabber and law-enforcement agencies are investigating the incident which, arguably, is the first of its kind to be reported in a school in Qatar in recent years.
