Qatar’s first hot air balloon festival to kick-start this weekend

Qatar first Hot Air Balloon Festival is set to commence on the 7th of December 2019 until the 18th of December at Aspire Park. This family-friendly festival will adorn Qatar’s skies with 33 different Hot Air Balloons from 13 countries.

In addition to enjoying the majestic sights of this one of a kind global event, guests can also enjoy various cuisines, live music, kids’ entertainment, balloon night glow, and more.

The festival is the latest initiative of the company that has introduced Qatar’s first Hot Air Balloon as a tourism product. ‘While Safe Flight Solutions is the key organizing body, the strategic partner of the festival is Qatar National Tourism Council, Qatar Airways is the official airline partner, Venue partner is Aspire Zone Foundation, ground transportation partner Hertz and hospitality partner Aura hospitality’ said Captain Hassan Al Mousawi CEO of Safe Flight Solutions.

‘With the continued support of our partners, we envisage to turn this into an annual global event with more countries participating,’ added Captain Al Mousawi. Jawaher Al-khuzaei of Qatar National Tourism Council said: ‘As we work to diversify Qatar’s calendar of festivals it is a pleasure to see our private sector partners taking the lead in building novel and attractive offerings. We’re excited to be a part of this event, which introduces a brand new tourism product to Qatari visitors and residents. ’

Mr. Abdulla Aman Al Khater, Director of Events and Facilities at Aspire Zone Foundation, said: “We, at AZF, have the pleasure to present this exciting event as a new addition to our entertainment events calendar organised at Aspire Park that appeal to the whole family members. Also, this festival will be a new addition to Qatar's tourism agenda."
