As part of our Ramadan activities celebrating and honouring over 31,000 workers delivering our landmark projects, Qatar Rail has held a series of visits to its workers’ accommodation in which management joined with workers to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan by having iftar together.

Qatar Rail Managing Director, Eng. Abdulla Al Subaie broke his fast in the company of the Gold Line workers. CEO Dr. Eng. Saad Al Muhannadi met with workers of the Doha Metro Green Line, while Deputy CEO Eng. Hamad Al Bishri attended an iftar with the workers of the Red Line.

Speaking on the occasion, Eng. Abdulla Al Subaie said: “Ramadan is a time of contemplation and a time of giving; so I’d like to take the opportunity to recognise the hard work each and every one of you has undertook over the past year and commend the notable achievements we have made. I’d also like to thank you for your unwavering dedication to your work. It’s this spirit that has already enabled us to achieve so much across our projects. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and progress made on the project is a testament to that.”

As well as extending his thanks to Qatar Rail’s workforce, Al Subaie later went on to say that this annual tradition provides an opportunity for the entire company to come together and take stock of its achievements.

During his visit to the Green Line workers’ accommodation, Qatar Rail CEO Dr. Eng. Saad Al Muhannadi stated: “I would like to express my deep gratitude to our workers, whose dedication and exceptional performance is an example to follow. I am certain that without their hard work and efforts we would not be able to accomplish our milestones. Join me in extending the blessings of Ramadan to each and every one of them. By the grace of God and by virtue of your dedication and expertise, I have great confidence in a bright future for our company and our ability to provide the people of Qatar with the exceptional Railway project and change their lives to the better.”

Meanwhile, Qatar Rail Deputy CEO Eng. Hamad Al Bishri visited the accommodation of the Red Line workers to break his fast with them, wish them a blessed month, and thank them for their hard work and commitment to achieving Qatar Rail’s vision and mission in providing the people of Qatar with a state-of- the-art railways network.

The three iftar occasions helped bring the workers together and improved communication between them. A short video was played during the occasions which showed the numerous milestones the project has accomplished and highlight their crucial role in delivering Qatar Rail’s projects. These visits reflect the ongoing efforts of Qatar Rail to support and improve the well-being of their workers, where the company has been organizing activities and annual events during the holy month of Ramadan intended to unite all the workers.
